The Trust was set up by Osino Namibia Holdings (Pty) in 2021 to house and expand its corporate social investment (CSI)* activities. The Trust takes its name from Osino’s Twin Hills gold mining project site near the town of Karibib, in the Erongo Region.
Osino provides funding to the Trust on an annual basis from its corporate CSI budget. Osino’s business partners and investors also contribute to the Trust. See a list of all supporters here.
Currently Twin Hills has three founding trustees, two of whom are placeholder trustees. Four long-term trustees, with a history of Namibian development experience, are currently being sought. The three current trustees are Heye Daun (Osino CEO), Werner Schuckmann (Osino Country Manager), and Robert Zipplies (independent sustainability advisor). Mr Daun and Mr Zipplies are placeholder trustees.
* CSI may also be referred to as corporate philanthropy or community investment, depending on global location.
The Twin Hills Trust is a not-for-profit organisation, registered and based in Namibia.
