The Trust was set up by Osino Gold Exploration and Mining (Pty) Ltd in 2021 as the socio-economic and environmental development vehicle for companies benefiting from the Twin Hills Gold Project near Karibib, in the Erongo Region. In September 2024, Shanjin International Gold Co., Ltd acquired Osino, including the Twin Hills Gold Project, and continues to expand the Trust’s activities.

Funding Areas

A regional socio-economic baseline study and a review of the Namibian government’s development priorities were used to identify the following areas for funding:

  • Community support

    • Health initiatives, infrastructure, land and housing for lower-income communities
    • Disaster and relief projects

  • Education

    • Early childhood development
    • Supporting high-performing scholars and students
    • Assisting educational organisations provide higher-quality education

  • Training & Enterprise Development

    • Vocational training and skills development for youth and young adults
    • Enterprise development, prioritising women and youth
    • Training in arts and culture

  • Environment

    • Environmental conservation and rehabilitation

Funding Partners

The Trust is supported by Shanjin International Gold Co., Ltd, Osino Gold Exploration and Mining (Pty) Ltd, and many Twin Hills Gold Project vendors. Former Osino shareholders, investment bankers, directors and managers have also made significant donations to the Trust.
