The Trust was set up by Osino Namibia Holdings (Pty) in 2021 to house and expand its corporate social investment activities. The Trust takes its name from Osino’s Twin Hills gold project near the town of Karibib, in the Erongo Region.

Potential projects are thoroughly assessed and then reviewed by the trustees for approval. Projects are monitored to track performance and disbursement of funds occurs in tranches, subject to the achievement of pre-determined milestones.

Funding Areas

A regional socio-economic baseline study and a review of the Namibian government’s development priorities were used to identify the following areas for funding:

  • Community support

    • Health initiatives, infrastructure, land and housing for lower-income communities.
    • Disaster and relief projects.

  • Education

    • Early childhood development.
    • Supporting high-performing scholars and students.
    • Assisting educational organisations provide higher-quality education.

  • Training & Enterprise Development

    • Vocational training and skills development for youth and young adults.
    • Enterprise development, prioritizing women and youth.
    • Training in arts and culture.

  • Environment

    • Environmental conservation and rehabilitation.

Osino is the founder and seed investor of the Twin Hills Trust.
